Lonesome Sky bannerLonesome Sky was formed in 2010 (originally as a classic country / rockabilly cover band), with the goal of creating a fun show that would be enjoyed by all ages. The band has since written and recorded an album of original songs entitled Backporch Blues, release date Friday the 13th, July 2012. The album also features three very talented local guest guitarists.

Lonesome Sky has been very active in community fundraisers and charity events. Their first show, on Remembrance Day 2010, was performed free for soldiers, veterans and members at the Royal Canadian Legion.  Since that time, Lonesome Sky has organized and played in many fundraisers and benefits, raising thousands of dollars for various groups and charities.  The band also donates cds to fundraising auctions and plays in fundraising events organized by others.

Funds have been raised for the following:

Autism Ontario

V.E.T.S. Canada

Wounded Warriors

Greater Fundy Ground Search and Rescue

Belleisle Volunteer Fire Department

Dryden Regional Hospital

SPCA

Various individuals who have suffered losses (fires etc.)

Various Royal Canadian Legion Branches

Various Food Banks

Various High School groups (music related)

For their Backporch Blues tour, Lonesome Sky has added Autism Ontario and the Dryden High School to their list of fundraisers.

They also have done a good number of all ages shows.
